WELCOME TO THE ELEMENTARY DEPARTMENT!
Since The National
Teachers College, Elementary Department, specifically the grade I - VI classes,
is implementing the 2002 Basic Education Curriculum, its vision and mission are
in accordance with what is contained in its curriculum, and they are as follows:
VISION
The Department of Education envisions every learner
to be functionally literate, equipped with life skills, appreciative of the arts
and sports, and imbued with the desirable values of a person who is makabayan,
makatao, makakalikasan at maka-Diyos.
MISSION
In line with this vision, the DepED has its mission
to provide quality basic education that is equitably accessible to all, and to
lay the foundation for lifelong learning and service for the common good.
PHILOSOPHY
The ideal Filipino learner in our rapidly changing
world is one who is empowered for the lifelong learning, is an active maker of
meaning and can learn whatever she/he needs to know in any new context. Such an
empowered learner in competent in learning how to learn and has life skills so
that he/she becomes a self-developed person who is makabayan( patriotic),
makatao (mindful of humanity), makakailikasan ( respecful of nature), and maka-Diyos (Godly).
